Ice cream is for everyone and serving up smiles is a passion of Samantha and David’s. Serving delicious ice cream and creating a locally fueled community.
Our Story
It all started with a craving for childhood nostalgia. For Samantha, soft serve ice cream tasted like summer—her favorite was a chocolate cone with rainbow sprinkles. After moving to Burlington with her husband David, Samantha realized there weren’t any local ice cream shops that captured that same nostalgic magic. In 2019, they decided to create their own by opening Dreamy Whip!
What began as a mobile ice cream trailer offering weekly featured flavors—cones, shakes, sundaes, and everything in between—quickly grew. By May 2020, they had opened their first storefront in downtown Burlington, followed by a second mobile unit in 2022.
In January 2025, they rebranded from Dreamy Whip to Dreamys Ice Cream to focus on growth beyond soft serve, encompassing everything from hand-scooped hard pack ice cream to creative sundaes.
Now, they’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of their newest location in Union, Kentucky, on March 1, 2025. Nestled in the former Beaverlick Trading Post at 2009 Beaver Road, this charming spot will feature outdoor seating for families and friends to enjoy their favorite treats together.
David and Samantha remain dedicated to serving exceptional ice cream experiences. No matter which Dreamys location you visit, you’ll find a little slice of childhood, a lot of creativity, and, of course, plenty of sprinkles.
